Monica Villa is a NJ-based actress, singer, sketch comic and voice over artist who is best known for her work on the New York theater scene, appearing at some of the city's most prestigious venues, including Carnegie Hall and the Ailey Citigroup Theater. As an Asian-American performer of Filipina descent, Monica is a staunch advocate of Asian representation in the arts and often collaborates with organizations that promote these values, such as National Asian Artists Project (founded by Tony Award-winning Baayork Lee) and Common Man Musicals. Audiences may also recognize this quirky-voiced ingénue from John Wu's viral short, "When Asian Actors Audition for Commercials," as well as her performances with Model Majority, New York's premier all-Asian Comedy Sketch Team. Her work has been featured on "Good Morning America" and New York 1 Focus.
She holds a degree in Theater from Barnard College of Columbia University and is an alumna of the British American Drama Academy's Midsummer in Oxford Program.
