Jazmin Grimaldi was born and raised in Southern California. She is a bicoastal actress, humanitarian, activist and recording artist. She recently appeared in a supporting role in the film, Cicada alongside Cobie Smulders featured at OutFest International Film Festival LA 2020 and BFI Film Festival London 2020.
A graduate of Fordham University in New York City, she studied Theater, and International Business with an emphasis on Humanitarian Affairs. Following her graduation from Fordham, she continued as a consultant at the United Nations World Food Programme, while continuing her acting studies at The Stella Adler Conservatory in New York City and classically training in voice.
At the ripe age of 14, she founded her charity,The Jazmin Fund. The charity is an ongoing philanthropic project focused on a humanitarian mission to help bring the local community and children of Fiji much needed assistance in education, medicine, and community development. In September of 2018, The Jazmin Fund opened the first ‘art focused’ community hall in Naidi Village (Vanua Levu, Fiji). The Jazmin Fund is now working on a female focused community hall in (Urata Village) Fiji which was set for Summer 2020 but has now been rescheduled due to the pandemic.
Jazmin's hope is to marry her passions for humanitarianism and the arts. Jazmin loves exploring her musical talents as a recording artist and has recently been cast in an original Broadway musical directed by Kathleen Marshall. Her original music can be found on all music platforms.
