Find ease acting on camera in a safe and small class. **OPEN TO ALL**
With so many classes and network events out there, I frequently see how easily confused actors get about their marketability, skills, and belief in their talent. My passion lies in supporting actors as you navigate through the information and the “truths” being presented to you about yourself and the business. This is a safe class to explore your marketability and camera skills. 8 slots max per class. Ages (18-100) and all levels of experiences (newbies to award-winning veterans).
OPTION A: Tuesdays 1:00-5:00 pm | July 11, 18, 25 & August 1
OPTION B: Tuesdays 6:30-10:30 pm | July 11, 18, 25 & August 1
“Your class was instrumental in helping me develop the techniques that allowed me to go into that audition room 4 different times and finally land the role of Richie” – Raul Castillo, HBO Series Looking
“You gave me the mind-set that allowed me to hold to the points I needed and ignore the ones I did not need. I was, I guess we can assume, successful.” – Gary Simpson, CINEMAX The Knick
Dig deeper to the root of who you are and reflect it in ALL of your acting choices.
For Alumni of Part 1 ONLY. This requirement is not based on skill level but on familiarity with my personal process. Part 1 is the foundation for Part 2. Please click here to register for Part 1 if you have not already taken it.
In Part 2, expect to dig deeper and forcibly knock down your personal obstacles on camera. The camera reveals everything, as you know. Let’s go for it and get honest. Now that I know you and we speak the same language, let’s reveal where you are stuck, where you are inspired, and what ultimately causes you to book the job. Learn to reinforce who you already are naturally. Your acting choices can inspire everyone around you and give them confidence to hire you.
OPTION: Mondays 1:30-5:30 | July 10, 17, 24, 31
Develop confidence using accents on camera by nailing an accent and still feeling like "you".

What a powerful well needed experience with Fiona. It has changed me. That class allowed me such personal access in such a transformative way that all that release and emotional energy was channeled into creativity.
I’m not sure that I have ever been in an acting class that just cut through all the shit so effectively. This experience meant a lot to me.
Private Coaching for audition and performance preparation. **OPEN TO ALL**
After watching as Casting Director over 40,000 auditions for RENT alone, and countless other theater, film, TV, commercial auditions… I have some fast adjustments and support to offer. I’m positive that the deeper you go in your work, the more irresistible you become. I believe that any audition frustrations can be traced back to how you prepared. Building audition and on-set confidence through preparation is crucial. I also have a sincere passion for supporting LONGEVITY in an actor’s career and offer private sessions to deepen that process.
“Heidi is the lady to go to!! I use her convenient skype sessions to make sure I’m super ready for auditions and I went to her AFTER I booked Red Oaks to make sure I would show up on set guns-a-blazin.” Alexandra Turshen, Amazon’s upcoming series RED OAKS
“Guess who booked the movie!?” ME!! All thanks to YOU!!!” Samantha Massell

COMING SOON in 2017
This class, ACTORS AS CREATORS, was launched in Toronto in March 2017. Johnny Sanchez (co-teacher/producer/writer/actor) and I were amazed and inspired at the overwhelming response of actors who became inspired to CREATE. So, we are going to do it again.
We will be launching the class very soon in NYC. Join the special waiting list to be the first to hear about upcoming dates.
“I arrived as an Actor, and left as a Creator.” – Emma Cowle
“I signed up for the workshop Friday afternoon not really knowing what to expect but I knew it was something I had to do and I’m so grateful that I did. What you do is important, it’s a gift, it’s necessary… and it’s more then just a workshop.” – Bre Sutherland
Give skills and confidence to your students.
Guest Teaching classes are specially designed for each group: Graduate, Undergraduate, and Group Workshops. Being a working actor is beyond just having talent and being in the right place at the right time. Competition is too high. I believe that actors who are armed with knowledge about the business, skills to prep audition material, and have tons of audition practice will strengthen their confidence and actually help them book jobs.
“It was a pleasure having you visit once again The New School for Drama – the students responded so well to your enthusiasm, advice, and expertise! They seem to be re-energized and ready to move forward, and are still talking about the sessions!”
Bob Hoyt, New School, Director of Professional Development M.F.A.
“Many of your notes and suggestions from my film audition (in addition to many of your other business tools and assets) have been on my mind: See the road. Hail the cab. Share the emotional transformation with the camera/audience. Ask questions. Greet the room and slate with personality…”
Erika Lee, MFA
